Not corporate speak as such, but I just hate the words 'in a timely manner' usually used in job adverts, not sure why it annoys me so much though!

We have 'motivational' posters in our office, no one cares about them or takes heed of their messages, they were put there by people who get paid far too much. We prefer the funny ones on the interweb!

I wish I could still find it but in a newspaper once I found a fun article entitled ''Now you too can speak rubbish''

It was 3 columns of words and you could link any 1 word with any other two words from the other columns.

I was in a meeting with the Boss discussing ways of reducing fleet costs and I was falling asleep. He pounced on me and said Tom whats your strategy then?

I quickly looked at this paper I had stuck on my jotter and said 'I view it as Incremental Third Generation Mobility and the strategic overview of that concept will determine and then manifest itself in ongoing cost savings''.

He said Wow thats just what I want, take that forward please.! Loser! I went back to sleep

I had to Google it!

Mark Twain famously said that if the first thing you do in the morning is eat a live frog, you can go through the rest of the day knowing the worst is behind you. Your frog is your worst task, and you should do it first thing in the morning.
