Hi guys
Just a quick one .. my mam smokes and we are trying to get her to quit but she has been through loads this year and has agreed to come to Disney with us next year, this is huge as she is sooooo frightened of flying but she says after this year life is to short
Can I ask is it ok to smoke on the balconies in Disney .. we are hoping she has quit by then but just incase ?

Thanks

No, you're not allowed. You need to go to the outside designated smoking areas.

Hi...your mum will find one or two smoking areas (ask at checkin where they are) at your resort .its very difficult now for a smoker as i believe the parks no longer allow smoking and your mum will likely need to go to the exit to smoke. It may be a good idea for her to chew nicotine gum while in the parks.,

The parks have banned smoking now and she will have to go to a smoking area outside the entrance. She could get patches to wear to stop the cravings.

So sorry to hear your mum has had a rough time but in preparation for the Disney trip perhaps you could convince her to start using nicotine gum NOW rather than anything else (plus its a way to get her on the road to stopping) as she will not be allowed to smoke in the parks or on the hotel balcony if on Disney property & if she did she would without doubt have complaints from other residents.

I'm not a smoker, but not being able to smoke on a hotel balcony is pretty ridiculous. I sort of understand the parks tho.

Out of curiosity why do you think it is ridiculous? Second hand smoke has the same effect whether in a theme park or on a balcony.

Personally wouldn't like to be sat on my balcony with second hand smoke floating from a nearby balcony!

I'd be pretty annoyed if I couldn't relax on my balcony because my neighbour was smoking and it was wafting up or over,..
