[QUOTE=Imagineer2802;14065018]IM confused to why you want to break the law?...and ask about it on a public forum?

I’ve no intention of breaking any laws, which is why I asked before going so I know how strict they are. Im glad I did as I had no idea that she couldn’t even touch or hold a drink
I know my daughter and how persistent she can be so I will be showing her this thread so that she knows why I am being so strict when we take her

Al you do realise that you contradicted yourself?
I’ve no intention of breaking any laws, which is why I asked before going so I know how strict they are.

This reads as "I'm happy to break the law as long as they are not strict..."
If you know the law then surely it doesn't matter how strict they are or not IYKWIM

Ha good point - I should have added - I have no intention but my daughter has

I remember when we went to Italy when ds was 6 we were in a pizzaria and left him for a few mins to go to the toilet , came back and the waiter had given him a glass of Prosecco 😂😂
He said - I’m not sure mum it’s a bit dry 🤣

I did not know this. As young as 5!

I remember flying to Orlando with Air France when my kids were 9 and 12 and they were both given wine with their meal 😳

Ha ha last year on our VA flight to Orlando they gave my 11 year old a glass of wine by accident too .. they handed her a glass of fizz when we boarded. I admit she looks older than 11 but not 18! She was horrified - i on the other hand gladly drank hers along with mine 😊😊

DSIL was ID every time last year and he is 39. I eventually got served aged 67 but DD aged 33 wasn’t. But beware not to give even a sip of another person’s drink to your DD as that is an offence too and you will be watched to ensure you don’t allow her any.

That's a bit harsh, all she is doing is carrying out an instruction from her manager.

We were a group of 50 and 60 year olds last trip and in Universal, as mentioned above, 2 of us could not go to the bar and get drinks for all 4! We had to hover around and be recognised, or we decided it best to collect our drinks ourselves to avoid being called back once at a table.

A couple of years ago we did a road trip throughout Georgia and Alabama - there was some slight variations in each county but in general we had to show ID to buy beer in the supermarkets.
In one gas station, the obviously over 60 yr old cashier told us that she had lived in the same town all her life, the staff at the liquor store knew her but would still not sell her anything without her showing ID!

Some counties in Alabama are completely dry as well, you are not even supposed to have alcohol in your vehicle covered up. We stayed one night at a casino hotel as there was nowhere else and because it was Sunday, we couldn’t have wine with our meal - any other night was fine.

It really pays to know before you go

I was told (when ID’d at 46 that in some counties the law is written that you must have ID on you in order to drink so it doesn’t matter how old you look.

That said and it’s a long time ago Disney was the one place they served me at dinner when I didn’t have ID I was 25 and my mum voucher for me but I was also in our hotel and my passport was just upstairs.
