Best advice I can give is get built in knee pads as that way you don’t forget them. You do if you have the elasticated ones that fit on with Velcro.

Oh, Gillett was popular last winter as they weren’t as restrictive as a coat but handy when a jumper wasn’t enough. They like to ‘layer up’ so the6 can strip layers while they work.

Yep, my husband was the same! He’s always had thermals and decent work boots as he works outside, It’s only the last few years he’s had a few more bits on the list (no moisturisers etc though )

My boys all have the full list My second eldest son also waxes his hair every day for work too - hilarious as it’s an all male workmen environment

Wish I had listened about wet weather gear and thermals in the 70's. Maybe my back wouldn't be in bits now.

My husband always wears a vest under his T-shirt (just a sleeveless black T-shirt really), in winter long thermal socks and always a warm thermal hat. He currently has snickers trousers with the pockets for the knee pads. He prefers braces to a belt.
Finally, a thick hi-vis waterproof coat is always in his van.
