Thank you for reading and your good wishes - glad you enjoyed it.
Unfortunately DS's relationship is no more. After 3.5 years, it's a bit of a shock and we feel like we've lost a second daughter too. He's just come back from a lads weekend in Amsterdam for one of his friend's birthdays, so it was good he had that to distract him for a while and the bad days for him are starting to lessen now thankfully.

Just read your trippie, I really enjoyed reading it!
I'm really wanting to go to Boston late on next year. We went when I was about 10 to visit family but I'd love to go back & see it properly. I really don't remember much I'm friends with someone who has just moved back there too and when we were chatting about it made me want to go back even more! |

Thanks for reading.
How lovely to have a friend there - that will be ideal for when you return to Boston.

Just hope he'll still be there when I'm planning to go & not back over here! Got the impression he wasn't so keen to go back and would have rather stayed in London!
The Lenox where you stayed, was it close enough to things? That's one I've looked at when I've been searching the internet, seems to be coming up at a good price. I'm really just wanting to do all the touristy things as I don't remember any of it from last time. I'm hoping to fit in a visit to Rhode Island, and visit my cousin's in-laws too who live there! I need to decide how long I need too |

That's a shame, fingers crossed he'll still be there. But if not, at least he'll be able to give you the heads up about great places to visit.
I thought the Lenox was ideally situated. It was a couple of hundred yards away from the Prudential Centre, right next to Boston Library. A subway station was virtually next door to it, with restaurants and shops on the other side of the road. We found Boston to be easily walkable too, with things much closer to each other than in New York for example. It sounds like you're planning a great trip.

Just noticed this, 2 of my favourite places and 2 places I visit this year again. I think you had a bad day in Abe & Louies, our food was superb and very comparable to steakhouses in Chicago and New York.

It certainly was a fabulous week. Thanks for reading.
I want to go back again. Maybe we did have a bad day at Abe & Louie's. It was very busy and we didn't get the greatest service from our waiter. I think if we'd eaten there first, I'd have probably said the food was lovely, but we found Keen's to be just superb, so it had a lot to live up to! Will have to give it another chance when we return. It could be a couple of years though. How lovely that you are going back so soon.
