Mobile Hiring a car for one day?

What’s the easiest way of doing this? We will be staying at Coronado Springs Resort. Wondering where we would go, and how long a day would be (and cost!)

I've never done it as we always hire for the entire holiday.

But you can get some idea of cost by looking at Discount Florida Car Hire (link in yellow banner above) - Andy at DFCH is used by scores of Dibbers including us.

Select "Orlando Disney Car Care Centre" as the location and enter your dates. I believe that the DCCC operates a free shuttle to collect you from hotel.

Be careful though because car hire is charged in 24 hour increments so if you select 9am to 9am and return the evening of the following day you'll be charged 2 days hire.

Thank you, looks reasonable. We will have 9 and 6 year olds, I assume there would be an option to add car seats? (Can’t see on the link).

Sorry - our two daughters are 40+ so never thought about it. Drop Andy a note through his "contact us" on his web site. He's very helpful.

His prices will also include the necessary insurances.

Alamo and a few others have care hire places onsite at Disney, either at the car care centre by the TTC or at the Dolphin, you can ask them to pick you up at the hotel and take you to the office where you can complete the paperwork (takes about 2 minutes), grab your car and off you go. When i did this is august a small car was about £35 for the day and the whole process was very easy, I am guessing now wdw resorts charge for parking they are getting a lot more people doing shorter rentals either as they arrive or leave the resorts.

Thanks Merryweather, yes absolutely, if it wasn't for the car parking fees we would have hired a car for our whole trip.
