Exactly this. Never fails.
To me the result depends on the quality of the sausages. We buy from a local farm shop who make their own. This way you can find out exactly what is in them.

My husband cooks them in the actifry, together with chips. The sausage fat then coats the chips 🤢. But you can only really cook for one with that method...
this is the second thing I have read this weekend regarding a stone - I feel like it is a sign I need to buy one as I had never heard of them before the other thing I read was using them for pizzas.

Always grill but slowly at a medium heat to let them cook through then on high for the last minute to turn them golden brown.
