Dune
Anyone else seen it yet? Just got back from seeing it at the imax. Big fan of the books, David Lynch version and even the Sci Fi mini series. This version? Absolutely glorious. Loved it. Exactly what I hoped. The casting was great it looked amazing as well.. Just hope and pray we get part 2.

I'm not a book reader so knew nothing about the story. Just got back and have to say it was brilliant, best film I have seen for a while.
Both my lads 12 and 8 also really enjoyed it, although at times felt the eyes of my wife burning me in the side of my head as my 8 year was reenacting a couple of the scenes. |

Same.
My problem is that I can no longer go to see films at the cinema. Wearing hearing aids means it's way too loud for me now... and I need subtitles, but my local cinemas (Vue and Odeon) do maybe one showing a week with subtitles. I'll have to wait till it's on pay tv and watch it at home.

Just home. I’ve never read the books or seen any of the other stuff.
I did like it. It’s a huge movie! I thought TC was great. I am definitely looking forward to, what really must be, at least 1 more. |

My DH is a huge fan of the books and very keen to see this. I'm glad you enjoyed it and it didn't disappoint.

We saw it tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Only dh has read the books and seen the other films/tv series - which we have so I'll have to watch those now. The rest of us are newcomers.
I have no doubt they'll do a next film to continue the story. |
