In direct Flights & Hotel Prices

Might be a daft question to ask but where does everyone look for in direct flight prices? Is it a search engine or do you just use the carrier website?

I may be doing something wrong, but I�ve been looking for Business Class in-direct flights for Jul next year and it�s cheaper to fly direct than it is to go in-direct at the mo. We really wanted in-direct outbound and direct inbound.

I�m also finding that the hotel prices have shot up in price for next year, we booked 2 of our hotels already but not the other 2 and now I�ve learnt my lesson, The Dolphin has gone up in price by �100 a night!

Skyscanner or Google Flights but I've found the same on the dates I'm tracking. Direct is consistently cheaper than indirect this year. I am looking midweek out of peak season though, so it doesn't have the typical inflation of a Saturday in August.

If you're not already, check the nearby airports as well if you're happy to drive or pay for transfers. A direct to Miami should be cheaper than Tampa which is cheaper than Orlando.
