Tv with the Teen

Hi

Any suggestions for family viewing with Ds (14).

Our latest family watches have been
Squid game ( I know, a little extreme but too much friend chat about the violent bits so we chose to watch and discuss)
Ted lasso
Schmigadoon
All the marvel spin offs on Disney plus.

We’ve also watched stranger things, Locke and key, umbrella academy.

He’s started watching a few horror films with me as we’d been supposed to be at HHN this week.

Anything else out there that you think we might enjoy together as a family?

Thanks.

My DS really enjoyed Lost In Space a couple of years ago, so he would have been about 13/14 at the time. He's looking forward to the new season which is due out soon.

He's moved onto more adult things now though, Breaking Bad being his absolute favourite. But he has also enjoyed Dexter & Prison Break. Probably not what you'd consider family viewing though!

Mine enjoyed The Middle, Modern Family, A Series of Unfortunate Events and Ghosts.
I quite liked Shadow & Bone but not watched that with the girls.
A friend suggested we might like What We do in the Shadows...

Thanks. I’ll have a look at lost in space.

I loved Dexter but Ds is not quite there yet for that. I’ve never watched breaking bad, maybe one for me and Dh.

Thanks.

He really liked series of unfortunate events. I’ll check out Cobra Kai. I’ll add wonder to our movie list.

We’ve watched a couple of the middle. Shadow and Bone might be good, he was looking at those books in the bookshop.

What we do in the shadows sounds great, I checked the sex content on IMDb and I might watch that without Ds. 😂

I’d thought about Buffy but it’s been years since I watched that.

The Middle is one of our favourites!
My DS, 15, was at home sick the other week and watched the first two Godfather films, Stand by Me (Stephen King), Money Heist on Netflix and he watched a lot of NCIS los Angeles and SWAT as well.

Not sure it's entirely family viewing but he enjoyed them!

I’ve never looked into What we do in the Shadows it was recommended by one of the dads who has been watching it with his 14 yr old son!

I’m sure the 2nd season of Locke and Key is due to start next week.

I have actually just started watching Buffy, never watched it years ago.

Not a tv programme but the movie Free Guy is excellent it’s on Disney+ and I’d say it’s a sort of cross between The Trueman show and Wreck it Ralph, perfect if he’s into gaming. Wandavision was also very good as is Muppets Haunted Mansion. Dd15 enjoyed all of those as did her adult brothers.

I like What we do in the shadows just because it has Matt Berry.
He has the best voice and I could listen to it all day!
Does your ds like horror? If he’s ok with that you should try Sweet home, it’s also Korean like Squid game and it’s brilliant!
