Keto Diet
Anybody done/doing it? What are your thoughts. I’m going to give it a go.

I'm not keto, but I eat far less carbs than I used to for health reasons. I eat around 110g per day.
I started loosing weight as soon as I started, that wasn't my main aim either. I have now lost around 5 1/2 stone in total.

Wow well done that’s great. I’m not sure I can be as “clean” as some seem to be but I’m certainly going to give it a go.

I did it for a while in conjunction with 16/8, I have had a few health issues lately but plan to get back to both asap.

I did Keto the year before Covid ..I went from a size 14 to a size 6. I was very dirty lazy Keto. I took no supplements other than adding pink salt and low salt to my food and just avoided anything carby to stay under 20g a day .. I did not use an app and do 'macros' just tried to eat as I think we would back in the caveman days.
The hardest part for me was potatoes and bread I have tried to get back on the wagon after going to a size 12 but am finding it hard this time. I keep having potato now and again. but I have lost a stone

Well done to anyone who gives up carbs. I’m pretty sure I’d last a day. 🙈

Been on it for about 4 years, have the odd bad day but generally stick to less than 50g of carbs a day
Changed my life , all for the better, no more indigestion, save a fortune on the fact we have no biscuits or chicolate in the house Can’t beat roast beef and sprouts for lunch. I also avoid all vegetable oils, as I believe these are dreadful for you , so cook in butter for everything. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not easy but sugar and carbs are extremely addictive and I suspect they are made that way but works for me

I fry in beef dripping or lard. I fry cabbage in butter YUMMY
My advice would be to keep it simple. I love a roast dinner with meat above ground veg and swede 'roasties' cooked in the meat juices.. arrowroot yorkshire pudding. Though I could never give up gravy ..

My friend done it earlier this year. Lost 4 stone in 3 months but fell of the wagon and slowly putting it back on. It’s not a diet it’s a change of lifestyle that you have to stick to.

Yes, its lovely eating lots of cream, cheese, meat, full fat yoghurt, bacon, eggs, fish etc, but, if you then have a moment of weakness, and eat crisps, chips or chocolate you are in trouble! I liked that I didnt have to weigh measure, calorie count etc, but found it difficult to be truly keto. Too easy to cheat. Its the perfect solution to tyoe two diabetes though, it reversed my dads in just a few weeks.
