I know, I agree with Fremont Street, but I thought OP wanted to stay on the Strip?

So surely Circus Circus is next best thing

It's badly located and quite run down , probably the nearest to a old Vegas vibe on Strip is the Flamingo with its history and Showroom that still has booths.

I hope so !
The rooms actually aren't too awful but the location is especially now the Riviera is gone and it's just neglected and run down in the public areas compared with just about every other Strip hotel.

I actually stayed at CC many years ago and liked it there. Not even been back in a long while but stopped for a look around and it was awful. Not been in the rooms but just know from the many negative comments that no one rates the hotel in general. Yes the location alone would put me off as well.

The blue/ green club is really nice we've passed it several times it's not that far from the MGM signature but like the Cancun ( which I pass a lot when in Vegas ) it's better suited if you have a car I think . The Cancun is about 3 miles from the Vegas sign it's not far off South Point where we stay .

Yes they could I'm sure and there are bus stops down there . But there is very little really in walking distance .

I like stopping down there you get it's so much cheaper . A comparable hotel on the strip would be so much more than I pay
