I would suggest having a look at the main cruise companies web sites or perhaps picking up a few brochures. Look at NCL for a more casual type of cruise, though with the others, P&O, RCI and Celebrity to name a few, on formal night you do not have to participate. You can eat in the buffet rather than the main dining room.
You can book a cruise at most if not all high street travel agents.
Remember that cruise lines will add a services charge which you can either pay at the time of booking or on board.

I have looked at prices for 2018 and it is much more expensive this year compared to what we paid.

NCL prices have increased due to being all inclusive when booking on the UK site, drinks and tips included.

I paid £850 for an 11 night cruise last April on the Spirit with drinks included last October. Fantastic ports in the Eastern Med. this year the Easter cruise is around £1200 each. I don't believe for one moment that the tips for one person would come to £350 each!

I tend to compare prices on Viva Voyage.co.uk and Viva Voyage.com (us site). It's great because they have a slide rule where you can narrow down to a certain range of dates. The.com site also appears to offer extra OBC too depending which cruise line it is.

We've just returned from a Fjords cruise on P&O Azura. It was a beautiful ship and we were absolutely blessed with sunny skies for virtually the whole cruise. It was our first time sailing P&O, having sailed RCCL and of course DCL in the past. It was definitely more formal but there were plenty of opportunities to avoid the formality if you wanted to. It was very different in its Britishness but sometimes it's nice to enjoy things like afternoon tea and roast dinners. The sail away parties were pretty great too. We thought that drinks prices were more reasonable than on the American lines and so too we're the upcharge restaurants.

The Fjords generally were amazing - this was our second cruise to Norway (3rd if you count the DCL transatlantic) and we said pre-cruise that it would probably be our last, but by the end we'd decided we will hopefully be back sometime soon. The scenery was spectacular and the people are really friendly. We did a few excursions with P&O and they were well organised and reasonably priced.

Any questions, please feel free to ask
