Paying balance on cruise due same day as online check in ?

I know it's a way off yet but just trying to get things straight in my head

I have so many components of the trip to plan and schedule important dates for that I am getting a bit paranoid about missing one!

Can someone please advise ...

If my Final Balance is due on 25th February 2018 and My Online Check In is that same day (we board 11th May) would I be better off paying a few days in advance of this ?

Presume if I have not paid it will not let me check in and don't want to be fiddling about with paying at 5am before trying to check in !

I seem to remember someone saying that there are a lot of Passport and Credit card fields before you get to OLCI and that these can be just be made up for speed and come back to after to save time? Have I got that right ?

I checked in and booked all my activities before we paid in full

Wouldn't let me book anything till the final balance was paid. We are gold castaway club members and our booking window opened before our final balance was due but I couldn't book anything. I paid early so we could book what we wanted sooner.
Maybe I was just pressing the wrong buttons on the day 😬😳. I can be hopeless with this online stuff sometimes!

Still not sure so to be on the safe side I will pay a couple of days before OLCI I think.

Anyone know the answer to the last bit about credit card and passport detail fields ? What to put in for speeding through ?
