Florida Firearms Adventure

Just wondering if anybody has done Florida Firearms Adventure at Fort Meade and what you thought of it?

I have seen it recommended on here so would be interested in any replies as DH wants to do it .

I went convinced I'd hate it but DH wanted to go had an absolute ball
Loved every minute of it Don our instructor was fantastic and he was on the ball with safety and gave great advice including that he though the tactical shot gun would be way to heavy for me so I got to fire the glock again
Going back in November as we enjoyed it so much just take loads of sun cream a hat and water

it is a fantastic half day shooting you get to shoot from handguns to ak47 to sniper rifle the instructor don was fantastic and they also do lunch inc unlimited drinks for $15...
we have been to oakridge range but felt it was a bit of a shock just to be handed a gun and told to go to range where don shows you safely how to shoot so a lot safer imo...

Absolutely fabulous would be my review

We went a few years ago and there was only me, DW and the instructor there. We got to fire everything and anything. Hand guns, shot guns, rifles, single shot machine guns and a sniper gun. DW enjoyed it almost as much as I did. We were both first timers and the tuition was first class - although I confused the instructor by being right handed with the hand guns but left handed with the everything else. Lunch was decent value as well.

Not just one of the best days we've had in Florida - and we've been quite a few times in the last 25 years, but one of the best days ever.

the boys did it last time and loved it
they did have a bit of trouble finding it but once there had a brilliant day
instruction is fantastic they fired lots of different guns and used different types of target over a few hours.A far superior experience than simply being given a gun and shooting a paper target for a few minutes.
They enjoyed it so much they are going again next year

It is outside so hats, sunglasses and sunscreen are essential

Book it, one of the best shooting experiences there is, much better than an indoor range, not only does Don spend time telling you about the guns and Ammo he is always there guiding you and helping you shoot, great range of guns to. We went and the wife didn't want to shoot initially, guess what, she then decide to have a go, Don was more than happy to let her have a go to, she enjoyed it so much she wants to go back. it is out of the way and as its outside take some insect repellent, where you shoot from is under cover so the rain wont stop you, enjoy the experience.

$135 per person for 4 hours it is fantastic value...we are going on sunday i will post some pics
