Thorpe Shark - trip report to follow
Taking DD to Thorpe Shark for an overnight stay next week as a 12th birthday surprise. Not stayed there before and the shipping container style accommodation doesn't get a lot of love but she's be en on about it forever. DW not keen to join so she's on dog-sitting duties.
Plan is to take DD there straight from school, have a picnic of her favourites in our container Friday night to avoid eating 2 meals at Thorpe Park food and then early park access for the big rollercoasters and the included breakfast the next morning. The cost was £102 using a Merlin pass and includes breakfast, I could have got it slightly cheaper but I needed to pay for a cancellation waiver in case dates didn't work out. Personally I suspect we'll love it as an adventure unless we get rowdy teens next door but only time we'll tell, definitely taking a pair of headphones just in case. I'll post up a report with plenty of photos of the accommodation next weekend.

Last minute issues and had to postpone sadly (after refund eligibility too!). Will get there one day!
