Lax via Canada customs clearance

Hi looking at flights Dublin to Lax via Toronto can anyone tell me if we clear customs in Toronto or Lax?

Haven't done Toronto, but have Vancouver and we cleared US customs there for our connecting flight. Literally 15 minutes there and didn't have to collect bags, they went straight through to San Fran for us.

LAX was nearly 2 hours when we were there in August, with the Canadian indirect flight that time was spent sat having something decent to eat.

Brilliant thanks, I'd much prefer quick through customs and decent food. Then straight through at LAX

according to the US website toronto pearson has US pre clearence so i would say yes.
