Exactly how do you know that this disabled child was put on another flight from his mother? Seems highly unlikely. He would have had to recheck in, go thro security, head to the correct gate, present all correct paperwork, passport etc all on his own.
That is, unless he was with his father, and the family agreed to be split onto two flights.
What exactly happened there?

I don't want to argue here, but this is what we experienced. I understand that some people have had pleasant experiences with Thomas Cook, but unfortunately ours was not.

The check in staff were very rude. People were asking why they had been separated onto separate flights, and were being told to 'pipe down'. There was a dance group on the flight made up of families and children, and they had placed a disabled under 14 on a seperate flight to his mother. Obviously, the group had argued this and it was eventually resolved. But it's not really acceptable it is? Thomas Cook could have rang the organiser to explain what was happening before hand. We found this information from his mother when we were next to her in the queue to board the plane.

I understand people have had good and bad experiences with all airlines, however after this forum asked about Thomas Cook thoughts, this was our experience.

I've flown twice with them.
They are a budgety airline.

I don't expect a red carpet or silver service.
I just expect a decent enough seat and IFE ideally (Although I flew without it with them).
Can't really complain if you get a good deal.

I have flown many airlines in my time. They are all the same unless you are in first/business class. You will always hear more bad than good stories about services.

IMO, it's a big tin can with a different logo on the outside. Gets you from A to B safely. What more do you really need?
