I’m really surprised they’ve done this. They got into so much trouble when they released free dining early a few years back. Clearly not learning their lesson!

If you are staying onsite and have booked the offer package then both your hotel stay and tickets should appear in MDE when you link your package using the booking ref you get.

I know in the past when I booked with TUI and linked my booking to MDE then both the tickets and hotel stay appeared in MDE. Because it's booked as a package.

If you are staying offsite or if you've not booked a special package then, yes, you'd need to pay off the balance in order to be sent the ticket reference.

It's sort of covered here in their FAQs:
tui/destinations/f...your%20tickets.

To say I'm underwhelmed by yesterdays news in an understatement.

It's disappointing but what I expected.

This year's offer is basically a repeat of last year's offer.

Same. It's what I was expecting and what I'd prepared our Disney gang for. Nowhere near as good as free dining, but as so many have said, they can't really bring back the dining plan (and therefore a fixed price element to food) in the middle of all this crazy inflation.

As we've quite a few rooms with just two people, we're going to set aside the money for three Signatures and one TS, and then eat/share QS meals for the other evenings which will save on tips. Also planning to buy in bottled water and beer.

That said, we went for drinks out quite a lot in 2019, and that was always OOP!

TBh I'm more surprised that they didn't incorporate the $200 spending money into the credits & pass it off as another great deal!

Really underwhelmed by the offer and I’ve given up hope of a return any time soon. I suppose it makes me feel better about going this year as I was a bit concerned I’d think we should cancel if DDP was back for next year

I’ve given up on potentially the plan returning. Like annual passes they may have realised that if you don’t offer it, people will pay regardless

I’m going to take my chances as a DVC white card member to see if I can bag the odd discount here and there

Not much availability for last week October- 1st week November 2023. We really want Port Orleans French Quarter. Do Disney release rooms in stages?
