Fantastic news and good luck with your procedure!
A great reminder for all men - confronting these issues may be difficult, but not half as difficult as the consequences of ignoring them. Like you, there is quite a history of prostate cancer and related issues in my family so it’s a cause close to my heart. Wishing you well! |

Fantastic news CFB. In a former life I was a Urology Nurse Specialist, so know how common and how worrying these investigations are for men and their families. Always a relief to get good news.
And of course good luck with the upcoming procedure. Edited at 08:02 PM. |

Thats fantastic news that everything is OK CFB, I am so pleased for you. My dad too had prostate cancer and I urge all men to get themselves checked. The PSA blood test is so easy and quick.

Fantastic news for you. I constantly tell men to not ignore anything out of the ordinary not matter how small. As you may know my dh is 52 and had everything removed due to cancer of the bladder, he is now on the road to recovery and can not thank the nhs enough, I'm not going to deny its been hard for both of us especially the first couple of months after the op and now getting his new bladder to work properly.
As I said good news for you CFB and plenty of trips to plan but keep talking openly about it as it might just save 1 man. 😊 |

No. It’s called ‘The Spire’ and is part or close to the main Hospital.

Good news. Admit to chasing dh to get a check when he kept wanting to go during the night. Fortunately found to be okay.
We lost a dear friend at and early age from this disease. Would also ask men who might be fobbed off with waiting times to pester for checks if necessary as our friend had to wait too long for further tests and by then it had metastasised and got into his bones and brain. He was told had he had the additional tests in a timely manner and not have to wait 6 months they would have been able to deal with it and he would have survived. Edited at 10:55 PM. |
