Transiting Iceland to NY
I’m off to NY in October. I was planning on taking advantage of cheap Play Air flights. So the route is LPL-KEF-NY. But I need someone to double check my logic here?
I don’t want to fall foul of the passport rules. The PLAY and UK Gov websites have conflicting information on how much time you need post visit but agree that for entry it’s only 10 years (no extra months). So, I know for entry to Iceland, it’s 10 year passport validity from issue, no extra months. Mine was issued 13 May 2013 so is valid for entry to Iceland until 13 May 2023, is this correct? Now PLAY says 6 months validity is needed and UK Gov say 3 months from departure. But regardless, my passport expiry is 13 Feb 24 - so valid for either the 3 or 6 months rule, as this includes the extra months, is this correct? Hope this makes sense
