Wasps or bees?

Just had a very rude lady knock on my door asking if we were the 'wasp house' and telling me to 'control my wasps' (?!?)

Looked out the back window and garden full of wasps courtesy of the overgrown hedge in next doors garden. However on googling think these may be bees not wasps?

Anyone any experience with this, do you think been or wasps? Will they just move on? Spoke to the lady next door to let her know but she didn't seem bothered they were in her hedge...

Bees generally swarm like this and I think that’s what they are.

Your local council will have someone who can collect and move them.

They are usually looking for a new place to build their home.

They are bees, bees swarm at this time of year looking for a new home, would leave them alone and they will probably move on in a day or so, if they linger you can usually find a local beekeeper on line who will come and take them.

They look like bees to me from that pic. Can you Google for any local beekeepers. They are normally happy to come out to remove them. I think they take the Queen and the rest follow.
I am slightly laughing at the lady telling you to control your wasps though. We once had a bonkers neighbour that knocked on the door to tell me that my cats sitting sunning themselves in my lounge window was scaring his wife and could I stop them. I told him I would have a word with them... .

We've had a few swarms of bees on our road over the last couple of weeks. They tend to move on by themselves, but one family with children had them removed by a bee keeper
