Has anyone been to Thorpe park recently?

I’d go, Thorpe is a good day, it’s worth it just for swarm imo although I prefer nemesis at AT to nemesis inferno ..

decent park with good rides, Alton Towers is personally what im think Is the best in the uk and worth a visit, none are on parr with Florida parks but I'd put smiler up there with some American coasters!

We visited last week. As we are from Leeds we are used to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Flamingo Land!

My 15yr old loved it - very much geared to roller coaster lovers. My 8yr old was bored- not much for younger kids. Angry birds 4d is like Shrek so that was good.
We did the short breaks so had 2 days. The walking dead ride queue scared me more than the ride.
Saw was great - only queued 20mins for that.
I’d recommend downloading the app for wait times.
We didn’t see any issues with groups, swearing etc.

Well today was our visit to Thorpe Park and I absolutely loved it!

The rides were excellent. No major queue times - for a Saturday at the start of half term, I felt it wasn't too busy at all.

I was also very pleasantly surprised at how clean the park was and how fresh it looked. The staff were faultless too. Lots of staff and security - all felt very good. The only ride not well staffed was swarm which was somewhat chaotic on boarding, but made up for by the nemesis chap, who sang between ever ride!

We had one teen group who were a bit larie, but I guess that's teens!

The ghost house was very interesting and I'd recommend - I was the chef researcher (after nobody else volunteered, so I thought I'd better!).

I loved stealth and the samurai. Dh liked the walking dead. The teen girls loved nemesis and rush and the coasters. Ds really liked Samurai and stealth. Colossus was a bit of a head rattler.

Saw was very good too and we got well and truly soaked on the water ride - to the point where we descended, created a huge splash - and then it felt like a further full 5 seconds of a bath tub pouring over us - created a few smiles to the onlookers as we got off the ride!

They've also got a Mardi Gras festival theme going on with floats, live singers and performers - there was a jazz trumpeter who was great.

Food also was great - not cheap but a good range including street food with jambalaya and ribs. Lots of choice.

I'd 100% recommend the park to anyone ... with teens especially.

Ghost house? Don’t know that one .. the ghost train maybe?
Must admit we are not a fan of all the Mardi gras stuff, at Alton towers it was a bit “meh”.

Ghost train yes! I'm tired - have been up since 7Am and not long back!
