Use the full fat coke not low cal. I'm being lazy and cooking a ready cured and glazed one. I've still got the splint on my hand so making things easy as I can

I have just cooked a massive one. I started it at 9 this morning cooking in orange juice, onion, cloves and bay leaves. I am just letting it cool a bit before I glaze it and have made a mix of honey, orange marmalade, wholegrain mustard and then will stud it with cloves. It smells amazing already.

My Dh sliced the big ###### in half and I am cooking both of them. Tried cooking the thing whole but I couldn’t turn it, we’ll be eating it till February

The label on ours said it serves 17, I think I ate 2 peoples worth whilst cutting it 😂

Seriously though there’s no way it would serve that many. I think 10 adults but only if there’s another meat.

Is it just me giving large portions or does everyone find the numbers off?

I cook the gammon in cider. Though with minimum pricing of alcohol it is hard to get a cheap bottle of cider now!
