No, just blitz it and chuck it in - it makes the soup nice and thick.

I’ll give it a go! I broke the base of the jug on my kmix blender last week and the spare will take weeks. I’d been looking for an excuse for a new one so I’ve just bought a lovely pink kitchen aid! Sweetcorn will be the first thing I blend! I’ve got a few tins of creamed left but I’ll save them for when I’m short on time

our local indian supermarket has tins of creamed corn still, and its half the price of what i used to get in tesco, so ive not really tried looking anywhere else in recent years

or just buy a bag of smart price frozen corn, and stick it in the blender with a bit of water or chicken stock

I'm making this today in the slow cooker, I was just going to chuck some tinned sweetcorn in but I'll have a go at blitzing it with some of the soup liquid before adding it.

Made it today and it was really delicious! Even my youngest son (18) who is a chef approved! Easy and very tasty, will definitely make this one again.

Looks delicious Louise. I usually do Chinese style chicken and sweetcorn soup but will try this instead. Thanks to Sparksy for the recipe

I’ve just made my chicken stock (every time we have roast chicken I freeze the carcass then once I have a few do a stock) so I’m definitely going to use it to try this at the weekend 😋

Wow this soup looks delicious and puts my red lentil soup that I made earlier to shame . I will definitely be giving this a try so I’ve popped noodles on my food shop delivery for Thursday and will just blitz the sweetcorn if I can’t find any in between now and the weekend
