I’ve really enjoyed reading about your trip and all your tips on Genie+
I think I’ve now decided to pre book this for our stay. I’ll be there over July 4th week, so I guess it could go either way, but I think I’ll think of it like you as part of the package price.
Do you know when you might be heading back over there?
I don’t think we’ll stay on site again either after this next trip.
😊

I’m still confused, it doesn’t take much and hoping if my DIL comes with us she can sort it all out 🙊🤷🤦I’d love to have the old FP back because at least you know you’ve got 3 rides booked up & don’t have to worry about it, I wouldn’t even mind paying for this
I get up early so that’s not a problem it’s the uncertainty of it all
Have a safe journey home & thanks for a FAB trip report
Xx

We have no plans to go back, by that I mean no idea when we will be back, not that we plan to never go back.

I suspect it will be a few years though, DH is very aggrieved at the replacement of FP+ with Genie+. I am more accepting of that (although I prefer FP+) but for me it is more the hotel experience which I found wanting. Being no tangible onsite guest benefits, ludicrous prices and the removal of basic hotel standards.

Next we are going west coast and Hawaii.

Thanks so much Claudette. I’ve found it really helpful and interesting to read your Genie+ experiences. I think we have decided not to purchase ahead of time, but I can see how you managed to make the most of your purchase on quite a few of your days. I’m glad you had a lovely holiday

This trip report has been so valuable in trying to understand strategies for each park (although I know it's impossible to truly know what to expect from day to day!)

Really appreciate the screenshots and details you added into your trippie.
I hope that despite your reservations with the new system you still felt that you had a great holiday. Hawaii sounds wonderful though ;-)

Very interesting insights into Genie+, thank you for sharing and such detailed info. As our next trip will be with an infant and involve some rider switches too, I think we will need to make use of this to avoid too much queuing and will factor in the cost 👍

I think with the research I did beforehand I did alright with Genie+ and I hope that my reports will help others to make Genie+ work for them. Now I don’t like the way Genie+ is designed, but that is not something I can change, so I set out to focus on what I can influence.

As I say, I am not thrilled with the change from FP+ to Genie+ but I can at least say that I spent very little time in queues on my trip.
