There is a wide range from a cheapish motel on long island to the best around Times Square

Budget ?

Ive just booked the Hotel Giraffe. Not stayed there yet but was recommended - reviews are good. It includes breakfast (in resort fee) which is quite rare, as well as refreshments.

We always stay at The Knickerbocker. Its gorgeous and in a great location, off Times Square and just a minutes walk from Bryant Park.

Weve not been yet but booked to stay at the Riu plaza Manhattan Times Square. Its a new hotel which just opened this year, looks lovely with great breakfast included.
Seen nothing but great comments on a Facebook group about the hotel.

Yes, not to be confused with that one. They arent far from each other and have nearly the same name! I think it opened around February this year

Ive not long got back from a 5 day trip to NY and we stayed at the M Social in the Times Sq area (W52nd St), great location and Id highly recommend this hotel, with reasonable sized double and king room, clean, nice lobby and outside terrace for sitting in to rest weary legs and feet, and view from our room straight over to the queue for Ellens Stardust Diner so we could watch the Q build and then leave the room to join it before it got too long 🤣
