I stayed in March with the 2022 Dining Card offer. There were a few instances where I couldn't buy a drink for instance as the particular location was classified as a 'merchandise' location so I guess they have ironed out this issue as the new offer includes 'dining and merchandise'.

The additional $200 gift card is essentially the same as the $1200 dining/merchandise credit as you could use the gift card to offset charges on your bill at front desk.

The offer looks to be based on a 14 night stay. Therefore if staying 3 weeks 2 separate bookings will be required (14 nights and 7 nights) in order to maximise and avail of optimum dining/merchandise credits and a further $200 gift card (for the 2nd reservation). Although maybe the dining/merchandise credit will only be available if you combine with tickets - which I wouldn't really want to do for the 3rd week.

Would be great if Disney would bring back the 21 night ticket.

Shame they are making this all so much weaker and difficult to navigate.

looking very much similar to this year then, we used the dining credit in February without issue and as it was just 2 of us went longer than expected but can imagine the difference from the dining plan for 4+ have another trip with credit again in September but giving 2023 a miss to come back in 2024, well may change our minds on the 26th

Yes - we are a family of 5. Dining plan for 21 nights was worth around £6k. So this offer isn't great for us. Particularly when the accommodation and ticket element has also increased dramatically and they have removed the 21 day ticket.

I'm interested to see if they will allow this dining/merchandise credit to be used to purchase a paid for dining plan if/when they relaunch it. Although given the price of the paid for dining plans that still may not be economical and may in fact only highlight how expensive paid for dining plans where/are. Last time I paid for a dining plan was in 2005 (when they first launched) at it was £19.99 for appetiser/entree/dessert and it included gratuities! I haven't looked at the paid for costs in a while.

Wow - I didn't realise they've introduced dynamic pricing on tickets, is this based on date/time of visit? I have booked tickets for 7th August, they are £489 each (age 9+).

Looking at the current crowd levels and the room occupancy rates the 2023 offer is almost certainly the best anybody could hope for. It could have been nothing!

In the short to medium term I can’t see free dining plans coming back.

If I had a young family I wouldn’t even consider staying onsite as I doubt I could afford it!

Sorry to hear about your wife. You will need to wait until the offer launches then call them and they will move things around for you.

I don’t see any mention of x amount off the rooms?

It used to be 20% I’m sure? Can’t remember if we got a room discount on our trip this year, don’t think I even looked tbh just wanted it booked!

The room prices for our dates actually look pretty reasonable… for Disney!
We are not long back and for our family of 3, for 12 nights the $750 credit lasted prob about 8/9 days.
