Las Vegas and WDW - Day 3 - April 23rd 2022
The day the plans all changed!
The original plan was breakfast at South Point hotel (near the Las Vegas sign) but we had done that already, and we still had $75 per room resort credit that we didn't use at Vanderpump, so we decided on breakfast buffet at Bacchanal in the hotel. DS and I woke up at 8.45, DM and DD had already been down there and they were fully booked! I got on the OpenTable waitlist though and we were able to get in at about 10am - phew! The buffet was so good I couldn't decide what to eat so I had a really random plate to start with ceviche and kimchi. We also bought a bottle of champagne, this worked out better value than the bottomless ($20 a bottle rather than $24pp bottomless)! Next we caught the Deuce bus up to Fremont Street. There were some cool street performers but it was very full-on. We found an old-style casino ( think it was called D-Bar) and I won 13 quarters on my first go on a horse racing betting game - beginner's luck! It was fun and we took advantage of the free gambling drinks too! We got the bus back down to the Linq to try for the zipline again but they were fully booked until the night so had to leave it. We got ready and walked up to the Venetian for a drink at Brera Osteria , I had a very nice Negroni, I think if we went back to Vegas we'd choose to stay at the Venetian - we had some of our best experiences here! We should have stayed here for dinner, we had planned for Top of the World at The Strat tonight but feeling the pinch after a few days of what we thought was overspending we went back to Caesars Palace for dinner at True Food Kitchen in the Forum Shops. None of the food was that hot, especially Dm's pizza and the sweet potato hash that came with DD's burger. Our kale salads weren't hot either but salad so I suppose excusable? The Martinis were ok though. It was then off to bed for a few hours now before on to Disney tomorrow!

The theming in the Venetian is amazing I'd love to stay there too if we go back to Vegas. A pain that you didn't get to do the zip line, but the visit to the old style casino sounds fun.
