Endless summer or cabana bay
Looks like we are down to these two hotels !
I prefer sapphire falls, its quieter which is perfect for me lol but everyone is concerned over the rollout bed for the 5th sleeper. So its between endless summer & cabana bay. Please, please give your options 💕 My pro & con list so far Pro endless summer Large family suite, new & modern, looks very clean, international drive is walkable so more food options. Cons for endless summer Only one pool, no slide etc. Not as close to universal. Possibly basic? Only seen empty walk throughs on you tube, is it quiet? Pro’s for cabana bay Two pools, slide & lazy river. Family suite, easy walkable to universal parks. Cons Noise! Every youtube video i have watched has been very noisy! As long as the rooms are quiet that's ok but i wont be able to read round the pool in that racket 🙈 |

Hi there, we’ve stayed at cabana bay a couple of times and loved it.
It’s a ‘lively’ hotel but I wouldn’t call I loud personally (IMO). We could hear the drums from the wave pool in volcano bay from our volcano bay view room, but I LOVED them. The park closed at 6 most nights I think, and the drums never woke us up. I found the pool areas are fun and vibrant. I think you are missing a big pro for Cabana Bay, the ability to walk over to Sapphire Falls and take the boat to Citywalk, it’s so quick and convenient and you miss the security hub this way (which sounds like a mess since reopening). Also, the Bayliner Diner and Starbucks are a draw for me. Plus you can walk over to Aventura and Sapphire Falls to use their amenities too, which we have done several times.

Swimming pool at Endless Summer is only 3ft deep. I think it looks good value but that really puts me off.

We stayed at endless summer resort as a family of 5 in October 2019 for 21 night. I was very apprehensive with it being a new hotel but we absolutely loved it. The pool is quite shallow but was great for what we needed. The only downside with the room is the storage. I’m not sure what it’s like at cabana bay but we made it work and I would definitely stay again.

Stayed at cabana bay in a family suite with exterior entry and you get a room with 2 doubles and a living room with a sofa bed .We absolutely loved the resort ( usually stay at the hard rock but booked a last minute bargain for a week in June last year) .the transport to the parks with the buses is faultless and much easier than walking to sapphire falls for the boat.Great atmosphere and the food at the poolside is excellent and great value for money. We absolutely loved it x

If it’s not a price issue, Cabana Bay or even better, Aventura every time. You can catch the boat and walk to parks.
Endless Summer is not in a ‘pro’ location. It’s in a scruffy end of International Drive, not a particularly pleasant environment whilst the others are in a smart Universal area. I am not knocking Endless Summer as the hotel is decent for the money (I went last summer to look around) but there is no contest on the environment it is in.

Giving Endless Summer as the baseline, Cabana Bay is £300 more expensive and actually the same price as sapphire falls, which I prefer, however the 5th sleeper rollout bed is a knock out factor for us. AVentura is £800 more so I have not even mentioned it to my husband because he is concerned about no DDP an the cost implications there.
If we go £1000 more we could stay at the Hard Rock but we need to stick to a budget as much as possible. £300 is doable 👍 As a side note, would you recommend AVentura for children? Thanks |

Aventura was fantastic, I was very impressed. When I stayed I got two adjoining rooms for 5 nights. It gave us good space, 2 mini fridges, 2 bathrooms etc and it was a lot cheaper than a smaller family suite at Sapphire falls. I paid about $320 a night I think for 2 rooms ($160 a room, prices may have gone up?). So we got two rooms for less than Hard Rock was charging for one. We stayed at Hard Rock as well later in the holiday. That was good for the universal fast passes to mop up a couple of rides we hadn’t done, and ride some of our favourites again.
My kids loved Aventura they were 15 and 12 at the time, it is quite a cool hotel for that age group. Cabana Bay I would stay in over ES any day and pay more money to do so- Sapphire Falls even better. I thought Aventura felt similar to Bay Lake Tower but a bit cooler. Edited at 11:38 AM. |

Last year we did 4 nights at Royal Pacific and 9 nights at Cabana Bay We found this to work out really well with front of the line passes at RP meant we could do all the rides we wanted to followed by a much more relaxing time at Cabana The kids were big fans of the family suite as no bed sharing and thought the pool were the best they had been in. We found the pool with the lazy river much more lively with fairly loud music and the drums from Volcano Bay so we tended to stick with the pool with the slide (much nearer the exterior family suites) and found no problem getting sun beds and was quiet and relaxing most of the time and had the best pool bar and snacks. The proximity to Volcano Bay and Sapphire Falls (for the boat) and Adventura (for the roof top bar) make it an ideal location, we normally alternate every two years between Disney and Universal but even before all the problems started kids were saying they enjoyed last year because it was so laid back and no planning required so we have decided to give Disney a miss next year and do the RP and CB again
