Excited about Disney
|
This is a huge blow , myself and my husband arent big ride people but love the shows . I have kept positive this year saying we will be ok for April but this has got me emailing about possibility of moving to 2022 . No fireworks , no parades , no character meets , no fastpasses , shows shut , no waterparks ( ok they say will open march but who knows ) , no early or late access , reduced park hours but no hopping but still ticket £439 . Just not worth it , have no benefits staying on site

I agree. We actually love the rides, but nevertheless don't feel the rides alone justify a repeat visit for us in the near future. Given the cost of tickets and onsite stay, our trip will sadly have to wait until (hopefully) Disney reinstate at least some of these elements.

One change I do like is seeing the characters round the parks again.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The random cavalcades and distanced interactions out in the open add so much more to the general atmosphere for everyone, compared to the meet & greets (often out of public sight) with their long waits. The marching band have also been seen (and heard! ![]() I hope some of these changes remain AND I hope lots of the live performers return to all the parks in old and new capacities. The Disney parks were never supposed to be just a trot around between the wilder rides and were intended to thrill people of all ages - Walt was creating an environment for all ages and interests; so all aspects and details mattered.

Shows is a massive issue for us - I talked to the kids and if none of those things are on in 2021 then they are all for postponing again.

Really need the shows to be on for the flow of people throughout the park. If no shows it makes the rides so much busier and if there’s no fast pass for rides then who in would pay over £425 for tickets to stand in massive queues.
Park hopping coming back in jan makes and incoming vaccines approval makes me think by late March it will be very much different. They will want guests paying the big bucks to stay onsite to get the benefits to match the price, I fancy by April they might open the 60 day fast pass for summer bookings. Who knows... |

The trouble is people are paying currently so even though this is true, Disney know that people don't seem to take that stance. Lots of people complain but few actually don't accept the costs. I'm one of those that moans every year the price has gone up but still pays.

At the moment, the majority of visitors are locals and are getting very large discounts. They won’t mind that certain attractions are not happening and probably don’t mind the 60 minute queues either.
