Buying a mail order item while I am there

Hi,

I'm looking to buy an item that would be cheaper in the States and is barely available if at all here in the UK. I would save the postage and also, I assume, import duty on it. It's not a terribly expensive item, $350 or so.

I'd have to buy it mail order (it's not a common item and is not likely to be in your average Target) and get it delivered to the hotel.

Any snags to this plan? I remember Disney hardening its approach to Garden Grocer etc.

Many thanks!

I ordered something from Amazon.com and had it delivered to CBR no problem.

Why not have it shipped to Angelbabe? she is a personal shopper and holds parcels.

We've had several items delivered to Disney hotels over the years, they don't mind. It's helpful if you can let them know ahead of time and if it doesn't arrive more than 48hrs before you do. We sent an email to the hotel when we had put our order on to let them know.

I wonder if they may limit or change the approach to parcels for COVID reasons? I wouldn’t necessarily assume because they’ve done it before they still will?

I would also recommend angelbabe without any hesitation, especially for an item of that value.

If ordering anything from USA to Britain. If you can ask them to put gift on it. A good chance it won’t get taxed. I deal with people coming into office to pay tax on parcels.
