2 hour connection in Dublin
Looking at flights to LA with Aer Lingus via Dublin, there is a choice of 2 hour or 5.5 hour layover, is 2 hours enough time?, both flights get us into LA at the same time, all hypothetical really as not sure we would book at the moment, just wondered what people thought?

This question comes up a lot so be prepared for lots of opinions!
We’ve flown via Dublin twice and I’d say 2 hours is fine. I phoned Aer Lingus the first time we flew as our outbound flight (BHX - DUB) changed and we had a short layover. The staff explained they wouldn’t sell tickets that have layovers under their recommended time and they will escort you from one flight to the next to bypass the queue if needed. We did get taken through and to the front of the TSA queue. The staff member said that it was easier to escort you through than having to rearrange your flight. |

Also, if you decide to play it safe and go for the longer layover there is a lounge after US immigration called 51st and Green. I’ve not personally been in but it gets good reviews.

I wouldn’t worry too much, as I would suspect there will be more flight tinkering between now and then, so you may find (for example) the time changes because they consolidate both flights.
That said I’d go for two hours
