Another one who wouldn’t recommend a corsa! The car always seemed too heavy for the engine and very sluggish

I’d say a Polo, or the Peugeot 206 if you can get one in your price range

I worked at a vauxhall garage and I wouldn't recommend any vauxhall.

My son has a 2010 Ford Fiesta Zetec S
His is a diesel but I know there’s a petrol version

Paid £2500 for it 18 months ago so I’m sure there’s some around for £2k

Can’t fault his at all , it’s a 1.6 , but very economical, certainly been more reliable than his friends Corsa’a which are all newer .
In the time we’ve had it , it’s just needed new tyres .

Currently have a Vauxhall never again sluggish and can sit and wait for ages for the windscreen to demist.
Looking to change this in the next couple of months

I love fiestas. My last 3 cars were fiestas and I've only just recently switched to an ecosport. I love the ecosport too but I got it because it was a good deal. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to a fiesta in the future

I can echo the not a corsa - the old ones have separate issues, but the newer ones are just plain awful!
I also can say not a Fiat punto - the hire one I had was gutless.

I’ve had 4 Fiesta’s and love them, they are reliable, cheap to maintain & not too expensive.
