PayPal - Withdrawal directly to a U.S. bank account - possible new fee

For those with a PayPal US dollar account who transfers into their US bank account such as SunTrust.

Hopefully I wrong but PayPal seems to be imposing a new fee so first please check if my understanding of this change is correct.

If it is then if you have a current US dollar balance or will soon due to renting then you'll need to transfer that out of PayPal and into your US bank account as this user agreement will be effective as of December 16, 2020.

The current policy which can be found here paypal/uk/webapps/mp...l#tableOfFees1 states under
A3.2 Withdrawing your Balance
A3.2.1 Withdrawal directly to a bank account (where available*)
Free (when no currency conversion is involved**)

While the new policy at paypalobjects/market...-121620-v4.pdf states.

A3.2.1 Withdrawal directly to a bank account (where available*)
Free (when no currency conversion is involved**)
Withdrawal directly to a U.S. bank account 3.00% (when no currency conversion is involved**)

This addition in bold seems to indicate a new 3% fee even if your money is sitting in dollars in your account, if I'm reading this correct and you have a US dollar PayPal balance then best to transfer it soon so to avoid this new fee.

Thus, for those who rent you might want to consider buying the Disney gift cards with your PayPal dollars so to credit towards your dues, rather than transferring into your US bank account.

Stay Safe.

Just following up on the new 3% fee for withdrawing from your US dollar PayPal account and into your US bank account like Suntrust.

This fee s now being taken, tried a $1.00 dummy transfer on the 15th which would have been free and this morning they've added a 3% charge .

Standard (3% fee)
Withdrawal amount $1.00
Fee $0.03
You’ll get $0.97
Estimated arrival: 1-3 working days

So for those who nornally use this PayPal servive but don't want to encounter this new 3% fee then consider buying from the US Disney Shop a Disney egift card which can be brought via your US dollar PayPal account where there's no fee involved , well not yet!

Stay Safe
