Mobile Fast pass and rider switch...

Can you still do rider switch when using your fast pass? Or is it only for the normal queue?

I’ve booked fast passes for me, oh and dd(9) at the same time thinking we could use rider switch as one of us will need to wait with our ds(2) is this allowed?

You can use them together. So how you've done it is totally fine. Means your littlest one doesn't have to be waiting around for too long. Have an awesome trip we are there at the same time I think!

Yes that is fine, the rider switch ticket is valid for up to three so your daughter can go on twice if she wants to

Everyone who enters the fastpass queue the first time needs a valid fastpass. When entering using the rider switch ticket then none of them need a fastpass.

Here's how the Rider Switch thing works at Disney:

You go up to the CM outside the ride and ask for a Rider Switch ticket. At least one adult stays with the child not riding and keeps this ticket. The others in the party enter the ride, either using the normal queue or the fastpass queue, whichever they want. If entering the fastpass queue at this time then they all must have a valid fastpass, just like normal. Once this group has ridden, they meet up with the adult and child who waited outside. The adult - plus 2 additional guests* - can then use the Rider Switch ticket to enter the fastpass queue. No one needs a valid fastpass to enter the fastpass at this time - they just use the Rider Switch ticket.

So, for example, a family gets a rider switch ticket. Mum and Son stay outside with this ticket whilst Dad and Daughter go on the ride using their fastpasses (both must have a valid fp). After riding, Dad and Daughter rejoin Mum and Son. Then Mum and Daughter use the rider switch ticket to enter the fastpass queue (they don't need a valid fp). Mum and Daughter rejoin the rest of their family after riding.

(* Disney's website says that the Rider Switch can only be used by 2 people. However, several Dibbers have said it's valid for 3 people in total)
