Talking Mickey is being silenced! From May 12th he will talk no more.

This decision likely has been made for a variety of reasons, some being technical difficulties and overall guest confusion since other Mickey characters in the park do not talk to guests, but likely also budgetary as the entertainer contracts for this venue were higher than many others.

Mickey will continue to meet guests at this location beyond May 12th, but he will communicate with guests in the old fashioned way.

It depends on the character for me. I'll always queue for Chip and Dale for example as I enjoy that interaction, but I don't like the princesses. So I've never done a princess interaction, even if that means missing out on meals I'd otherwise like to try because they're princess character dining!

I'd say meet the ones they're interested in and don't bother with the rest if you'd only be doing them just for the sake of it.

The secret to meeting Baymax is get there well before the M&G starts. Usually starts 9a.m. so get there around 8:40 if you can. Do check performance times beforehand.

Character meets are our favourite part. DS 5 loves meeting them.

We went to disney for the first time last May and we had a 5 and 9 year old. My 5 year old daughter loved meeting the princesses in particular. We used fast passes for popular ones like fairytale hall but there are some you can't fp (frozen sister's from memory).

We think its worth the queue. BB8 was fantastic (thought my daughter was a droid as she was wearing an orange dress) my eldest loved BB8,Chewwie, kyloren and Olaf (olaf bit him apparently and had a row off the cast member and went to the corner lol)

Gaston was my fave. Really funny x
