Heathrow Express? Waste of money IMO.

A much easier journey would have been to walk 10 min up the road to Kings Cross, nip down in the lift and get the tube all the way. It is often an empty tube at Kings Cross too.

Would agree, but as my better half works on the trains, we got massive discount price

Couple of questions. Did you pick up JR Passes from airport? Did you make seat reservations? Ok more than a couple of questions! What were the queues like at Disney? What shouldn’t we miss?

Many thanks

JR Mets - at the New South Exit part of the station.

Small rooms, double bed - spotless clean and very nice business type hotel room - would use again

No - we were only getting a 7 days JR pass and were there for 9 days - so we picked it up at Travel Centre at Shibuya a couple of days later, also booked seats for Kyoto at same time. There was a lady at the Travek Centre who wore a badge saying she spoke English , she sort of wrote out all we wanted on a bit of paper, took it to a desk with someone behind - and that person issued passes and did the booking. Worked a treat.

We used Suica for the monorail at Disney and the trip to Shibuya on the day we moved into the city.

Queues were fine at the parks, we used fast passes at DisneySea - our second but full day in a park - and queues for few things but they were like 20 mins max. The shorter, post 6pm, entry into Disneyland and really wanted to do Monsters Inc and Pooh Honey Hunt and they were 45 min queues.

In both parks - after the 8pm night show - the parks emptied a lot and the things we went on were near walk on.

Annoyingly some of the places to eat (the Alice in Wonderland in particular) closed at 7:30pm when we were there - darn.

Did you not have to order the voucher for the pass before travelling to Japan? Everything I have read said you can’t buy one once you are there. Sorry if I have misunderstood.

Thanks. Had seen some rather daunting photos of queues at Disney so glad you didn't have to queue too long. Good to know that places to eat close early too.
