I agree. The Yacht club is great for adults on honeymoon. You can stroll up and down the Boardwalk and it's only a short walk to Epcot, which is also a more adult orientated theme park. You could wake up on your first morning of your honeymoon and have breakfast at the Boardwalk bakery sitting by the lake and wander into the WS at Epcot and have lunch in the french patisserie next to the eifel Tower!

I watched this the other day, the only mention of anything related to WDW was a wedding at Swan/Dolphin, nothing directly related to Disney Weddings

DGF and I scouted the Deluxe resorts during our trip last October for our Wedding trip. Before we went we were absolutely convinced we would be staying at the GF. But after a look around we found it a little stuffy, hard to believe since I didn't think anywhere at WDW would feel like that.
In the end we settled on either the Polynesian or the Beach Club. Beach Club in preference to Yacht Club since, again, it felt a little stuffy. A key thing for us was also location, this discounted AKL and even Wilderness Lodge felt a little isolated. We ended up going for Beach Club, although it was a really difficult decision and I think we may well end up at the Poly in the future. The deciding factor was the pool, we have friends coming with us that have a 10 year old daughter and, hopefully, she will love it

My personal favourite is Wilderness Lodge, I just think it's beautiful. Not keen on Contempo either, and the Poly doesn't really do anything for me either. Whilst the GF is beautiful, I have to agree, it does feel a bit 'stuffy' to me. But it's all down to personal opinion and what feels best.
The other hotels I love are Yacht&Beach Club and Boardwalk. Y&BC has a fantastic pool. Check out the WDW website and take the accomodation tours, see which theme you prefer. Di x

Excited about Disney
|
we got married in the wedding pavillion & stayed at the grand floridian. got upgraded at check-in to a concierge level suite! must admit it felt like we were trespassing everytime we went in, but was fabulous - out of this world. would recommend it to anyone.
we've already started saving to go back for our ?10th?20th wedding anniversary - to a suite. xx. |
