Thread Introduction
The Wedding & Honeymoon section here at thedibb.co.uk is likely to remain due to the regular traffic and nice fit into the overall site. What I would like to create is a FAQ to collect and gather the wealth of information already being posted here!

The FAQ will be naturally 'Disney' focused.

If you would like to suggest a better way to display or store the information then please speak up!

The Wedding & Honeymoon Basics

Walt Disney World (WDW) in Florida offer the chance for couples to get married at a number of locations throughout the Disney property. The locations available, the number of guests that can attend and what is included will depend on your package option and time of year.

The packages or 'collections' available from Disney are Escape, Wishes and Couture. Your choice of collection will ultimately come down to budget but also the number of guests and location preference. Each collection attracts different conditions such as minimum spend and minimum nights at a Disney hotel. No information on the collection will be posted because the minimum spend of $65,000.

The Escape Collection

Escape Package includes:

Bride's Bouquet & Groom Boutonniere
Wedding Cake. A two tiered cake with a keepsake Mickey and Minnie cake topper
Champagne or two bottles of non-alcoholic sparkling (One bottle of signature Fairy Tale Cuvee pours
approximately six servings)

A limousine charter for four consecutive hours (can make multiple trips)
A violinist to play during your event (also an organist if your venue
is Disney's Wedding Pavillion)
A professional Disney photographer to capture your event providing an
album of 20 4x6 prints.

Escape Venues & Prices:

Disney's Wedding Pavilion $5,750.00 (max 18 guests)
Epcot Canada Pavilion $5,895.00 TBA, new venue for 2010
Sunrise Terrace at Disney's Wilderness Lodge $4,750.00 (max 8 guests)
Sunset Pointe at Disney's Polynesian Resort $4,750.00 (max 8 guests)*
Sea Breeze Point at Disney's BoardWalk Resort $4,750.00 (max 18 guests)
Wedding Gazebo at Disney's Yacht Club Resort $4,750.00 (max 18 guests)

Escape Weddings occurring on Saturday and Sunday must meet a $7,500 minimum expenditure. This minimum can be met through a combination of elements provided by Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings including your Escape Package, food & beverage, floral, d�cor, entertainment, photography/videography, additional transportation and venue rentals.

*Sunset Pointe at Disney's Polynesian Resort is only available between October & March.

The Wishes Collection

Wishes Package includes:

Customised by individual to meet minimal spend

Wishes Venues & Prices:

Magic Kingdom Park (50 guests max) Prices start at $28,000 for an 8:00
a.m. ceremony
Disney's Wedding Pavilion (max 300 guests)
Ceremonies in Epcot are available in the morning at 9 a.m at the
following World Showcase venues: Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Morocco & United Kingdom
Disney's BoardWalk Resort - Sea Breeze Point & Croquet Lawn
Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort - Wedding Gazebo
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort Beach
Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort Beach

Wishes Wedding Packages are subject to minimum expenditures:

Monday to Thursday: $12,000
Friday & Sunday: $15,000
Saturday: $20,000

The minimum expenditure can be met through a combination of food &
beverage, floral, d�cor, music, entertainment, special transportation,
photography/videography, venue rentals, and other wedding day services
provided by Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings. Please see the Disney
Fairytale Weddings website for more info and specific prices.
