These are ours from 1998!

They are as good as the day we bought them and still attract some envious looks. Sadly the bags they go into are falling apart. Sounds like me the falling apart bit!

I reckon we will get another 20 years out of them.

I bought my bright yellow Mickey one in 2003 and it’s much better than the cheap £1 ones. They cling to you like cling film whereas mine feels a lot airier if you see what I mean. I actually don’t particularly like them but sometimes with the August downpours you have no choice unless you plan on finding a place to shelter for a while.

If you buy a Disney poncho and damage it then they replace it free of charge.
Bit like a bag for life here.

My Wife insisted on buying those Ikea ones. The type that actually folds in on itself as a bag!

Only Ikea would have a YouTube video on how to reassemble them My God you need a degree in phyics and advanced areonautical engineering to get them back looking tidy.

I have hidden them so she can't ever find them.

Neither. We either go inside, go shopping or go for a meal. In the summer heat I’m sure you get wetter inside them. As my gran used to say ‘You’re not made of sugar, you won’t melt’

I just take a micro umbrella small enough to fit in my fanny pack , can’t abide the ponchos way to hot and cumbersome

OMG! Hubby still has his Busch Gardens one from 12 years ago too! It’s so funny because I was telling him just yesterday evening that it was time he retired it and he insisted it was still useable!

OP - I purchased these EVA ones for myself and our girls the last time we went and we’ve used them elsewhere since. They’re quite robust, fold flat and the length means only our feet get wet during a proper downpour. I had a few people asking me where I got them from when we were in the parks.

We took single use ones last year, then on our final day clever me packed them and we got caught out and had to spent $40 on Disney ones for the last 2 hours of our holiday 🤦🏼 They are very good quality though!
