I.D and drinks, our experience

Went last year and was never once asked for ID when buying a beer. The only time I had any kind of issue was at Universal where they would only give one beer per person.

I totally forgot about this and stood in a queue for ages for a beer for me and by brother in law! Had to get him to then queue up for ages to get his own.

Think yourself lucky. I am normally the only Adult in the group and so can never drink as I am always driving.

Hi airport 3 years ago both asked for ID, both mid 50s and the gentleman beside us probably 65/70 no drink until he went and got his ID

DD looks about sixteen and was served nearly everywhere when presenting her provisional driving licence and copy of her passport on her phone. The only place she was not served was Raglan Road, where the waiter wanted her actual passport, we told him disney policy was to accept I.D plus photo of passport, but he was not having it , we asked for the manager who put the waiter straight
We manged to drink our way round the world and was made even more entertaining watching the bar staff trying to work out if DD was actually 21

Thanks for this, I was wondering what ID ds will need as he’ll be 21 and his first trip being able to drink alcohol next year and didn’t want to be carrying his passport round.

Mind you 5 visits to Florida and dh or I have never had any alcohol so next year may be a first for all of us.
