We had to wait in line for about 2 hours as well but that's totally fine. It's worth the wait.

We can't get FP for it so will follow your plan as it was a good one.

It's just a ride and there's no doubting I REALLY want to go on it but it's just not a level playing field between offsite and onsite guests when it comes to booking rides but I guess that's how Disney want it lol
I totally get what you are saying. But the first days you are there the time difference means you'll be awake early anyway so I'd plan to do it then. Arriving early still meant we technically waited over an hour to ride, but the main difference is that it's not impacting your park time. So you can still get off the ride and take advantage of the shorter morning queues at other rides. When we were eating breakfast I checked Kilamonjaro Safaris and it was only showing a 15min wait at that time.

And keep trying for the Fastpasses - fingers crossed you'll get lucky x

Thank you. I'm a bit of a sissy so like to know what something is before I go on it - it sounds right up my street

I've went through the touring plans fast pass availability page and at the minute 64 days for any availability and 66 days for a morning one. This is for a single person so might be longer for groups

That is exactly how Disney want it. They don't discriminate with FP+ so anyone can use the service but it adds value to staying on property.

Its just another thing that helps justify the cost of staying on site.

Totally. There's got to be some perks surely against the cost 😳

This was our tactic too and are actually still in Florida at the moment! We have arrived early on 4 mornings and have been off the ride at the earliest at 9.02am and 9.17 at the latest! We went yesterday for what will be our last time and by 10am had ridden FOP, Navi river and two times on expedition Everest! The ride is amazing and although I have ridden it 4 times I would love to go again!

One tip I had read before I went which was really useful is when you queue at the entry barriers go to the very left lane. One set of entry barriers will be initially for the exclusive use of breakfast ADR guests however when they start to let people in these are opened up to everyone and you can skip across to a short or non existent line.

AK is dead in the morning due to Pandora and everything else is pretty much a walk on or low wait times in first few hours of day! Well worth the early start to the day
