Thanks, my husband is not sure at all about going in a full pirate costume this afternoon. He does not want to draw attention to himself! Maybe we will just put costumes on the kids!

Jack Sparrow was amazing! He did indeed look like the real thing.
We dressed up, it was really fun and the pictures came out fab.
Our boys went as tweedle dee and tweedle dum and the (real) Queen of Hearts went mad. One of the (real) Tweedles caught one of my sons waiting for the rest of us outside a restroom and had a proper little play around with him. He absolutely loved it.

We saw lots of great costumes some really elaborate some simple. People in matching t-shirts or hats. Some in no costume and not looking out of place. This was ours seemed to get lots of comments...

I didn't wear a costume, but kind of Disney bounded with a Minnie Mouse themed dress (with a red skirt which white polka dots) for one of the parties.

One thing to note is don't have a costume that's too hot - last year I brought a costume all the way there only to decide at the last minute that it was too hot to wear and so didn't wear it!

Avoid nylon / lycra. Try to go for light cotton if you can.
