What dates are they in Aug and Sept?
It feels to hot in August and Sept to be Halloween.
I get September maybe but August is crazy
Looks to be 24th, 28th and 31st August - which is 3 days out of our 2nd week - which is super annoying for me!

As someone with a partner who can only go during school holidays and wouldn't want to go for just 1 week in October half term I'm THRILLED we'll be able to go in August!

well you're not blocked from going to MK on those days, and MNSSHP days even see lighter crowds because US guests don't all have hopper and will avoid MK that day, and if you're on a UK ticket you have the ability to go to another park to end your park day. A non ticket holder does not have this luxury.

so you're already a winner

you're not double paying
you'll pay £369 (current) for 14 days of park, with hopper, with waterparks, with memory maker, with minigolf rounds
you get all this for £369 or $500

if you were a "non ticket holder" do you know what those £369 would get you ?

you would not even get a 3 day ticket + hopper + waterpark + memory maker ($556 or £404)

you get 14 days of park for the price a US guest would get only 2 with the same options granted by your UK ticket; or you'd get 6 days if not purchasing memory maker

so who's double paying ?

there is not much difference between august 24th and september 15th weather and temperature wise

and, well ... temps around 25°C or above don't feel like Christmas either for the regular Brit ... why do Disney offer christmas parties when it's obviously too hot for the theme ?

well, we enjoyed the first MNSSHP last august, and will return next august as our dates fit
When we were at the party we didn't care the date, we just enjoyed

relax, and enjoy, it's Disneyworld, not Grumpyworld.

End the park day at 8.30pm at AK or HS or push the boat out and stay out til 9pm at Epcot?

Mk is the only park with half decent opening times so they’ve taken that away 3 times a week.

So basically that's blown the argument of not many in August out of the window. Nearly half of the last week is taken up by them

It's awful. Some people will defend it because they like to defend Disney frankly and if it works for you, great. Thats fair enough, but it is certainly unfair imo on those who have bought tickets in good faith and holding Halloween Parties in August is plainly ridiculous and a clear creep. As I say, I do wonder how many people will defend it when these profit top up events are happening 3 or 4 days per week all year around. Scary thing is, the answer is probably still "plenty".

It's a bit like how shops here in the UK start selling Easter eggs from the beginning of January. And they start selling Halloween stuff in August. And they sell Christmas decorations from October.

Of course, the reason Disney start the Halloween and Christmas parties so early (and the reason why shops start selling seasonal items so early) is because there is DEMAND for them. They can't make money if there aren't lots of people out there wanting the buy tickets to these things.

In fact the 2 weeks we are there has a number of nights at 6pm finish 😡
If it is due to MNSSHP then expect that closing time to change to 7pm (like it has done in the past). MK usually closes at 7pm when the parties are on.

Interestingly, MK tends to be less crowded during the day on party days. So it's actually a good day to visit if you don't mind the 7pm closing time. It's not so good if you wanted to spend the evening there though.

One is a shop, the other is an attraction that you've taken your family too on a 9 hour flight at great expense.

Disney actually sell xmas decs year round... I've got no objection to that. It doesn't disrupt my holiday plans.

Not even a little bit comparable.

They recently changed this to 6pm as people were abusing the schedule and hanging back to see the party. 6pm is the new closing time on party days
