Our booking confirmed this morning POR standard room, although the price was £30 more.
Got another 'amendment' at around 12 o'clock changing it back to the original price.
Really glad I took the gamble & booked with VH last week - Disney are showing no standard rooms for our date.

I got my email this morning saying my booking have been updated and I had been moved from French Quarter to Riverside which as I said on a previous email I'm not happy about as we purposely chose French Quarter as we didn't enjoy Riverside last year. I've now just had another email saying we're still Riverside but its £168 cheaper which is a massive bonus but we're not convinced we want Riverside. It's impossible to get through to anyone today

I've rang Virgin again and for some reason they are not allowed to alter any on request bookings until they get the go-ahead from head office. Really annoying

my price went up at approx £10, but then had a email conformation with the original price. The spanner in the works is the email conformation I have states on the little ticket things that I have 2*$200 dollar gift card

Ours has been confirmed too and £10 less than I was expecting! Now I’m itching to get onto My Disney Experience (though of course I knew it wouldn’t link quite yet!) 😂

Anyone still hoping / expecting French quarter to become available and go back from Riverside?

I just got an email back from the agent I booked with to say she's back in work tomorrow and will look at the possibility of French quarter for us but currently they aren't allowed to access these bookings as they are "working on them" so I guess I will find out more tomorrow!
Gives me and the other half chance tonight to decide whether to stick at riverside or pay to move to a garden view room at FQ if these are still available.
Its strange this issue with French quarter standard rooms, with it not being just a virgin issue but across the board seemingly no availability.

I spoke to my agent and mentioned the problems for those looking at P.O. apparently it’s a real issue for 2019 as people have opted for there over CBR due to the building work. They said the whole year is rammed with bookings for POFQ
