Toy Story land is...

Wow I had low expectations but the actual experience was even lower. ASS is total bore. We will do slinky tomorrow with fp. No shade at all. There is no shop in the area either to cool down. We had fp for ASS today but I would not bother with it even if it's walk on. Boring ride. Not much to see or do. No shade

May change my mind after slinky. What did you think of it if you have experienced it?

Did you have little ones with you? I find that some of the little rides that I don't find thrilling my 2 year old loves! And then seeing her laugh her head off makes me love the ride
We go back in May 2019 and I'm really looking forward to this new land just because it will be more for my DD to experience - she loves Toy Story and will be 3 and a half when we go and should be able to ride Slinky, Just right for her I'd say but for me, Big Thunder is more my thing

Well we don't have little kids but we appreciated Mickey toontown for example in California. I think shop, cute playground or water feature could make it more fun. Such great theme, i wish they did more with it

Admittedly today was hot and busy not helping much. I am shocked how little shade there is

Nope. I had low or no expectations. Look you can go on looking for how wrong I am not to like it if you wish. I like Winnie the pooh and many other rides geared to small kids.

This is below MEH for me. It's like rivers of light, minus the expectations.

Hope slinky changes our mind

Maybe going in with low expectations is the problem, sounds like you didn't like the sound or look of it before you went? There are also things I don't rate that others do, all personal opinion. I hope riding slinky changes your mind
You get to ride Tower of Terror too, so all is not lost - wish I was there now
Enjoy

I agree with minnie29. Having little kids with you makes all the difference. The Slinky Dog ride at DLP is not even as thrilling as the new one, but I love it because it holds so many memories of my DS squealing with delight and us running around and joining the queue again. A lot of Disney rides are not thrill rides, but we love them all the same. I also love SDMT and a lot on here don’t, but the first time I rode it, I was just so ridiculously happy to be back at my favourite place that I cried like a baby. Everyone is different though and if you don’t like something then that’s ok, it’s your holiday, so you can do or think whatever you want to xx
