being realistic i’m aware that it’s impossible to completely eradicate everything that could be harmful in today’s society. i just like to help when i can which for me is better than nothing

I think when you’ve done ridiculing a brand new member asking a genuine question , you may just sit back and think that if wdw ditched every plastic straw it uses every day the impact would be huge. You could go on about every environment issues al, day but at Least the op is tryng to do their bit .

Op welcome to the dibb and I’m really sorry that this is what you have faced as a new member and it is quite helpful and useful forum when people think and take the time to help , contrary to what you are seeing in your replies.

Not to sound rude however the flight to Florida will not affect the hole in The Ozone layer at all. The hole in the Ozone layer is caused by CFCs reacting with Ozone(O3) however it may affect global warming however that is a completely separate issues, and won’t kill any fish🐠🐟

I'm sure you right, but I'm sure you still got my drift

If you read it as ridicule of a person, then that was not my intention and I am sorry. I was just highlighting the contradiction in what most of us do when trying to help the environment with my tongue firmly in my cheek (Hence the winks)

I hate the paper straws in Animal Kingdom as they are useless so I always obtain extra plastic straws from the other parks and take them with me. I throw the rubbish in the bin at the end so no animals are harmed.

Plastic straws (along with balloons) are PROHIBITED at animal kingdom.

most people throw their rubbish in the bin, animals and birds can still gain access to them - please rethink.

Please don’t do this. Straws are banned in MK for a reason.

I personally hate the wastage at Disney World. When brought a refill at table service restaurants the servers always bring new straws. Why can’t people take the straw out of their spent glass and put it in the new one?
