Only done The Wave out of those. We wanted dinner but because our plans changed we ended up here for lunch. Beautiful restaurant with amazing food - however, the really interesting items are on the dinner menu rather than lunch.

Would love to do breakfast here too.

The only one have eaten at is Mama Melrose and as others have said it is nothing special. To be honest IMHO if it was outside the boundaries of Disney I don't think it would last very long

Chef Art. Ate there our first night onsite a couple of weeks ago. One of our worst meals.

Are you on dining plan or paying out of pocket?
If the latter, out of that list the Wave is the only one I'd probably be tempted by. Art Smiths good if you get the right dishes.
If it's dining plan, probably O'Hana, and Biergarten added but I'd be reluctant to pay cash for either due to quality/ value ratio. I actually quite liked Biergarten, but prices way too high cash.
Never been to Jungle canteen but read VERY mixed reviews, may give a try if I was on DDP but not cash. In MK Plaza is a good cash option if you're not bothered about anything fancy, simply because the Reuben is extremely good. In MK I'm very happy with the chicken pot pie at Columbia Harbor House with a side of Mac and cheese, in fact I love it.

We adore Nine dragons, the food is wonderful, particularly the honey sesame chicken and the beef dish. The service is always great too. Xx

I'm firmly in the LOVE camp for Ohana. Mainly because its right up our street!
I can see why people don't like it, as it can be very noisy in there and we ended up waiting 40 mins past our ADR time (even after turning up early).
However I really enjoyed the food and was perfect for the meat loving DF.

The Wave for dinner is a hidden gem. Better food here than in the 2 credit Flying Fish for me last trip.

Ohana - first visit for me last November and one of my favourite meals of the holiday. Lots of food...well cooked and tasty and nothing was too much trouble. Our kids were well looked after with nuggets and chips, some plain skewered meat and some of the marinated stuff on small plates to try. We were late due to a monorail breakdown but still didn’t have the wait that lots of people complain of. Since our trip though Ive seen lots of bad reviews.

Mama Melrose - had a perfectly acceptable meal here on the Fantasmic package. However have since been to Hollywood Brown Derby and that is now my go to for the package. Cheap enough to pay out of pocket if we are struggling for TS credits too.

san Angel... I totally love the setting of this place. The food however I wouldn’t give to the birds in our backyard. Such a shame. Go to Hacienda instead if you want Mexican...way better

We are on the DDP, 2A 2C (5 & 9), and I've been researching on restaurants for a few weeks now. I have my definites picked out but there are still TS credits I need to use. The restaurants I listed in this thread are ones which have been recommended from various websites and Youtube, and having looked at the menus I thought we would've enjoyed them, so some are still on my shortlist and some have been removed.

With so many places to choose from and so many mixed opinions its not easy to pick! I'm changing my mind all the time

I'm just really wanting good value and good food. My cousin went with his family last year (wife and 3 kids) and nearly all of his choices were character dining. I'm doing character dining but only maybe 4 or 5 restaurants, as I know that while you're getting the character experience, the food isn't always that great. The feedback in this thread has helped with the restaurants I listed.

We like exotic food too so the likes of Sanaa is right up our street!

I also reminded myself that I'll have QS credits to use as well so Italian, Mexican, Chinese etc can be enjoyed using QS.

So far my definites are...

- Hollywood & Vine - Fantasmic Pkg (Breakfast. I've heard Lunch/Dinner food is not the best)
- Tusker House - ROL Pkg (Dinner)
- CRT - (Dinner)
- Akershus (Breakfast. I know if we chose Lunch or Dinner we probably wouldn't be too keen of the food)
- BOG (Either Lunch or Breakfast)
- Yak & Yeti (Dinner)
- Sanaa (Dinner)
- T-REX (Dinner)
- Sci-fi Theatre (Dinner)
- The Wave (Dinner)
- Teppan Edo (Dinner)

On my current shortlist is...

- Raglan Road (DS)
- Planet Hollywood (DS)
- Rainforest Cafe (AK)
- Garden Grill (Epcot)
- Biergarten (Epcot)
- Nine Dragons (Epcot)

As this will be our first time at WDW any recommendations and/or feedback is welcome

I’ve been to most of them, this year I was reluctantly dragged to Rainforest at AK (we have Landrys card) and the meal and service was unbelievably better than 90% on the list. My wife agreed. We couldn’t believe it.

We ate at chef art last night, we were really looking forward to eating there, but came out hugely disappointed, very average food and awful service
