In my opinion Kate knocks spots off of Megan, but then in fairness to Megan, Kate is more in tune with what is expected from being a member of the Royal Family .

Press love a good spat:

A senior source said: “Their statement was not cleared with anyone. It breaks all protocol. This is a declaration of war on the family.

“There is fury over how they’ve done this without any thought for the implications for the institution. The Queen is deeply upset. The Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge are incandescent with rage.

I think it is a great decision.

Why should they be forced to carry on with a life that neither appears to be enjoying because they have been thus far obliged to work for Prince Harry's family firm?

How often are Dibbers encouraged by others on these boards to make life/work changes to improve their own wellbeing, and by extension, that of your family?

The Duchess of Sussex had a successful, independent life which included her taking an active and vocal role in charities and causes she believed in before her marriage. Marriage meant she could no longer earn her own money. Can you image how difficult it must be to now be told which causes or charities you may support, on which matters you may now express an opinion on? It must be incredibly frustrating. Then to have the media examine your every action, every word you utter, your appearance, all in extremely detail, and that of your extended family - especially when your family appear to have no filter or care for your feelings?

I would imagine that the attention on their son, and the media and public demands for access to the baby has crystallised their desire for a more private family life.

Joy and happiness to them.

I can’t say I blame them for backing out but I really don’t see why they can’t pay for their own security - especially as it will be a higher cost with them switching countries every few months.
Personally I think we owe Harry that after thirty plus years of having to be a Royal. Not a role he chose.
Ultimately we pay for the security for every ex prime minister. I’d rather pay for Harry and Meghan’s than Blair or Cameron’s.

He is royalty not a commoner and Megan knew this before she married into the royal family. Prince Harry is royalty , a job for life you are born into that comes with a lot of privileges. It also comes with limelight and the media press but you don't have to be royalty for that to happen, a footballer, film star, on the tele and you are known world wide. I think he has let the royal family down big style. Would he be doing this if he hadn't married Megan? Do you think the Queen never felt like walking away? Where as we commoners can change our job whenever we want , they are royalty, born into it. He has enough money to live his own life left to him by his late mum, but that is not the point. I feel he has let the royal family down. I for one am truely disappointed in him.

Couldn’t give 2 hoots... he will never know what it’s like to get up at stupid o’clock or working nights to support your family, where you can’t keep your eyes open because your so tired. To walk home in the rain. These ‘royals’ are so out of touch with society. Nobody cares... the royal family is not what modern Britain represents

She got little support

Seriously , anyone who served two tours in Afghanistan has probably dealt with more reality than most people who think riding a Florida rollercoaster is scary !

I think he will have been up at stupid o’clock when in Afghanistan with the army.
He was an Apache attack helicopter co pilot and gunner and went on active missions doing what gunners do. He was put at risk for his country, but we all forget this.
